Installation Instructions

Please read the following instructions carefully before installation

  1. Register yourself and your studio

    Everything in Studio Manager is done after authentication. Please register yourself and your studio as you have to enter your studio registration ID to download the software. You can download a maximum number of Studio Manager software installed in your systems you have specified in your studio registration details.


  2. Install Java

    Studio Manager Desktop software runs on Java. Please download and install it from here.


  3. Enter registration ID

    Enter your registration ID in the text box above to download. You will be asked to enter your studio registration ID for both downloading and installation of Studio Manager software. The registration ID will be sent to your studio's email address after registering your studio.


  4. Installation Folder

    After downloading the software, DO NOT RUN IT in the download folder but move it to a separate folder. For example, Applications/StudioManager/ or Users/{username}/StudioManager/. Note that there shall be no spaces in the file path or folder name starting from the root (topmost folder). If you have issues creating new folder in your /Applications folder, create a new folder in any other non-system folder or drive. Folder that does not require additional permissions is recommended for uninterrupted execution.


  5. Can't be opened

    You may get a message from MacOS that the software cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

    To override this, open System Preference

    Open Security & Privacy and at the bottom you can see Allow apps downloaded from:. Select App Store and Identified developers and click the Open Anyway button.

    Launch the app again.


  6. Disk Access

    Some instances of MacOS does not allow files to be accessed by apps, even if the apps created those files.
    To fix this, open System Preference

    Open Security & Privacy and at the left of the Privacy tab you can see Full Disk Access option. Click on it and select Terminal from /Applications/Utilities folder.

    Launch the app again.


  7. Startup on Login

    Unlike Windows, MacOS requires additional settings to run an app on startup
    To enable startup on login, open System Preference

    Open Users & Groups and select the Login Items tab on the right side. At the bottom of the tab, you can see + button. Click on it and select the app.
